Jerry M. Redd, Sr.

Mr. Jerry M. Redd, Sr., 72, of Ranger, GA, died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Bartow County on February 20, 1945, son of the late Elmer and Alice Poole Redd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilton Poole.
Mr. Redd was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He was retired from the US Postal Service, and was a member of Crane Eater Community Church.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Becky Redd, and Jeffery Redd; his daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Joey Logan, Sherrie and Mark Edwards, Jennifer and Trenton Stanley, and Jessica Renea Redd; brothers, William Redd, Elmer Redd, Roger Redd, John Redd, and Herman Redd; a sister, Juanita Roberts; grandchildren, Cassie and Drew Bell, Roger and Crystal Thomas, Reagan Redd, Ryan Redd, Ridge Redd, Zachary Edwards, Jace Stanley, Jaylon Brewster, and Jayla Brewster; and great-grandchildren, Finch Peppers, Draven Peppers, Roger Thomas, Colt Thomas, and Zoe Bell. Other survivors include his best friend, Junior Logan, and the love of his life, Rebecca Logan Redd.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Jerry M. Redd, Sr. will be held Monday, July 10th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The Redd family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 9th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
