Jerry Mitchell Mulkey

Mr. Jerry Mitchell Mulkey, 57 of Ranger, GA died Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home following several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on August 12, 1959, son of the late John D. "Buddy" and Adell Brannon Mulkey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harry D. Mulkey and Billy Ray Mulkey; and a sister, Barbara M. Mulkey.

Jerry was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Ranger.

Survivors include his brother, Larry Junior Mulkey of Ranger; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Joan and Castol Edmonds of Talking Rock, Patricia Ann and Terry Collis of Ranger, Wanda Faye and Johnny Densmore of Oakman, and Teresa Dianne Mulkey of Calhoun. Thirteen nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Mr. Jerry Mitchell Mulkey will be held Sunday, August 28th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with his special nephew, Tony Blankenship, and cousin, Eddie Brannon, officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include nephews, Neil Edmonds, Jeremy Collis, Jamey Collis, Jason Chastain, Daniel Mulkey, and special cousin, Johnny Mulkey. Dustin Edmonds will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

The Mulkey family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the service hour of 2:00 PM.

The family requests flowers be omitted, and memorial donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 187, Ranger, GA 30734.
