Jerry Ray Holt Jr

Mr. Jerry Ray Holt, Jr., age 41 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011. He was born in Floyd County on August 20, 1970, son of Helen A. Helms and the late Jerry Ray Holt, Sr.

Before becoming disabled, Mr. Holt was employed by DeFoor Tire and Brock Tire.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Mitzi Elaine Bunch Holt; a daughter, Megan Hales of Calhoun; his mother, Helen A. Helms; three brothers, David Holt and his wife Candy of Calhoun, James Holt and his wife Bethany of Cleveland, TN, and Michael Holt of Calhoun; a sister, Amanda Holt and her husband Tyler; a brother-in-law, Sam Brown of Adairsville; a brother-in-law, Merle Bennett; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Bennett. Other survivors are nieces, Danielle Holt, Kaylan Broome, and Abbey Broome; and nephews, Wayne Holt, Blake Broome, Skylar Bennett, Blake Brown, and Racheal Brown.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Ray Holt, Jr. will be held Monday, December 12th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Garry Tate and Rev. Sammy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Danny Mowrey, Lee Timms, Mitchell Treadaway, Norman Carpenter, Anthony McMichen, and Gene Holms. Honorary pallbearers are David Holt, Michael Holt, James Holt, Merle Bennett, Sam Brown, and Tyler Montain.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.
