Jesse William O'Shields

Mr. Jesse William O'Shields, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at Gordon Hospital following two weeks of illness.

Mr. O'Shields was born on October 15, 1945 in Fulton County, son of Marie Ruth Ramey O'Shields and the late Jesse James O'Shields.

Survivors are his wife, Janice Belinda Levie O'Shields, to whom he was married for 39 years; a daughter, Janice Stover of Calhoun; a son, Jesse D. O'Shields and his wife Bonnie of Calhoun; his mother, Mrs. Marie O'Shields of Calhoun; three sisters, Diane Gentry and her husband Joe of Hiram, Becky Carter of Carrollton, and Cheryl Johnston and her husband Ricky of Calhoun; and a brother, Larry O'Shields of Calhoun. Six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jesse William O'Shields will be conducted Friday at 11:00am from the East Calhoun Church of God, with Rev. Lester Howard and Pastor Keith Reid officiating. Pallbearers serving will include John Gordon, Johnny Bond, Joe Stover, Zach French, Jay Heavenly and Melton King. Interment will follow the service in Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday evening after 6:00pm.
