Jim Davis

Mr. James Erwin "Jim" Davis, 56 of Resaca, GA died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Gordon Hospital following a year of declining health. He was born in Floyd County on September 15, 1959, son of Mary Emma Coley Davis and the late Gene Davis.

Jim was owner/operator of Davis Auto Repair.

He leaves behind his son, Coley Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Chad Sumner, all of Calhoun; his mother, Mary Emma Coley Davis of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Gloria Davis of Calhoun, John and Melissa Davis of Sugar Valley, and Tom Davis of Sugar Valley; a sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Troy Padgett of Jasper; and grandchildren, Abram Sumner, Maddie Sumner, and Jax Sumner.

Services to honor the life of Mr. James Erwin "Jim" Davis will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Trey Padgett, Brian Padgett, Andrew Davis, Josh Davis, Tim Allen, and James Steele.

The family would like to thank Pam, Michelle, and Dani of Pruitt Hospice for their care and support.

The Davis family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 26th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
