Jimmy Morrison

Mr. Jimmy Morrison, age 71 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on August 22, 1939, son of the late Walter Clyde and Mary Belle Harper Morrison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Faye Morrison Wyatt; and two nephews, Darren Drew Moss and Thomas Allen Morrison.

Survivors include two brothers, Dick Morrison and Edwin Harper Morrison and his wife Brenda, all of Calhoun; nieces, Laurie Moss Faw, Cathy Morrison Walraven, Nancy Morrison Grizzard, Jennifer Morrison, Holly Morrison, and Emily Morrison; and nephews, David Moss, Merle Moss, Kirt Moss, and Todd Morrison. Other relatives also survive.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Calhoun Health Care for their exceptional care of Mr. Morrison.

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Morrison will be conducted Tuesday, October 5th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include David Moss, Merle Moss, Kirt Moss, Todd Morrison, Garret Faw, and Charles Kinman. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Calhoun Health Care.
