Mr. Jimmy Wayne White, age 61 of Calhoun, Georgia, died Saturday November 11, 2010 while a patient in Piedmont Health Care in Atlanta.
Jimmy had lived his entire life in Gordon County except for his tenure with the United States Army during the Viet Nam era. He was born on March 1, 1949, son of the late Daniel B. White and Annie Mae Baker White. He had retired from United Parcel Service, and was a member of the American Legion, 40 & 8th, and was a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Mickey White and a sister, Donna Jean White.
Jimmy is survived by a daughter, Julie Wells and her husband Daniel of Hinesville, Georgia; a son, Phillip White and his wife Lisa of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law; Gerald and Lynn White of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Will and Ross White, and Ethan Wells; and a niece, Kassie White. Many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Wayne White will be held on Monday, November 13th at 2:00PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Rice officiating. Active pallbearers serving include Ewald Heizman, Donald Dempsey, Bill Dempsey, Terry Henderson, Lamar Whittenburg and Jerry Fuller.
The White family will receive friends Sunday between the hours of 5:00PM and 9:00PM at the funeral home.
