Joann Coulter Bledsoe, age 88, of Franklin, TN passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her home.
A native of Washington County, KY, she was born on February 16, 1935 to the late Charles “B” and Ella Warner Coulter.
She was a 1952 graduate of Willisburg High School in Willisburg, KY and a graduate of Spencerian College in Louisville, KY. A retired administrative assistant, Joann spent eleven years of her career working for the North American Mission Board, the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. She spent the last years of her career working for Calhoun Counseling Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Calhoun, GA.
Preceding her in death was her father, Charles “B” Coulter on June 30, 1986; her mother, Ella Warner Coulter on September 9, 2006; a sister, Christine Hale on March 4, 2006 and two brothers, William E. “Rackie” Coulter in October 30, 1999 and Charles A. “Chig” Coulter on September 22, 2014.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Dr. John L. Bledsoe; three daughters, Sherri Halford (Hollis), Christie Hurlock (Dave) and Jonna Hart; three grandchildren, Hilary Reese Hohl (Stuart), Harrison Hart (Hannah) and Sarah Catherine Hurlock Osgood (Gus) and two great grandchildren, John Stuart Hohl and Warner Hamilton Hohl.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10th at the Willisburg Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Causey and Bro. Lance Ladd, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be at the church after 12 Noon Saturday.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Calhoun, GA, date to be announced.
