Mr. John Bunion (J.B.) Wright, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Calhoun Health Care following three years of declining health. He was born in Ellijay, GA on January 5, 1920, son of the late William Adolphus Wright and Lillie Arvilla Findley Wright. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Jewell Dobbs Wright; a daughter, Nellie Edwards; and three brothers, Clarence Wright, Carl Wright, and Henry Wright.
During his lifetime, Mr. Wright was employed by the City of Calhoun in the Sanitation Department.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessie and Arthur Hensley, and Patsy and Craig Long, all of Calhoun; a brother, James Wright of Adairsville; grandchildren, Melissa Reynolds, Timmy Hensley, Karen Mowry, Shannon Jackson, John Hensley, and Jonathan Hensley; and great-grandchildren, Eric Mowry, Emily Mowry, Fred Hensley, Amber Hensley, Christina Hensley, Josh Hensley, Jamie Reynolds, and Breanna Reynolds. A special buddy, Danny Mowry, also survives.
Funeral services for Mr. John Bunion (J.B.) Wright will be conducted Tuesday, March 16th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Stacey Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Tim Hensley, Danny Mowry, Eric Mowry, Fred Hensley, J.J. Jackson, and Lamar Reynolds. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:15pm.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
