John Dale Pasley

Mr. John Dale (Buddy) Pasley, age 73 of Resaca, Georgia,died Wednesday, June 06, 2007 at Gordon Hospital.

Buddy (whom everyone knew him as) was born on May 10, 1934 in Bartow County, son of the late Joseph Dennard Pasley and Esther Winnie Cooper Pasley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Gordon W. Pasley in 1963, Harold D. (Spot) Pasley in 1988, Doyle Pasley in 1997 and James L. Pasley in 2002. During his lifetime, Buddy served his country with the United States Army having attained the rank of SP3 (T), and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). Following his service to his country, he became employed in construction where he retired.

Buddy is survived by his wife; Patsy Ann Bagley Pasley to whom he was married for 46 years; one daughter; Kathy Thomas of Resaca, Georgia; grandchildren; Shanna Junkins, Dylan Thomas, and Amy Kirby; great grandchildren; Dirk Junkins and Lindsey Kirby; two sisters; Lois Hicks and Ruth Johnson, both of Adairsville, Georgia; and one brother; Donald Pasley of Adairsville, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Buddy Pasley will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. G.W. Shaw and Rev. David Baker officiating. Singing will be arranged by Glenda Duvall and Mike Bunch. Active pallbearers serving will include; Bill Wilson, James Hyde, Allen Townsend, Shane Rice, Larry McRee, and Brian Johnson. Honorary pallbearers serving will include; Troy Dutton, Larry Pasley, Brent Parker, Paul Pasley, Michael Johnson, Freddie Bagley, Billy Joe Mincy, Lonzo Hicks, and Robert Smith. Active and honorary pallbearers are requested to meet at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the 108th Armor Battalion of the Georgia National Guard of Calhoun. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Thursday after 4:00 p.m. Family owned and operated Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun is conducting the funeral service for Mr. John Dale (Buddy) Pasley of Resaca, Georgia.
