John F. Haldeman, 88, of Marietta, GA, died on Saturday, May 2, 2015 following several years of declining health.
John was born in Mansfield, Ohio on October 10, 1926; he was the son of the late Winfield and Faye Shively Haldeman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Kermit Cordrey. John served in The United States Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a Quality Control Engineer at Marconi Avionics. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marietta.
Survivors are his sons and daughter-in-law, Bob Haldeman, of Acworth, Larry and Janet Haldeman, of Tallapoosa, Georgia, and Richard Haldeman, of Marietta; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and William Howell, of Kennesaw, and Lori and David Kendrick, of White; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and David Deming, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; his grandchildren, Shawna, Stephanie, David, Andrew, Elyse, Tyler, Julia, Jonathan, and Phillip; great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at Georgia State Veterans Cemetery in Canton on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Mitch Phillips will officiate. John was cremated; there will be no visitation.
