John Foster

Mr. John Foster, age 90, of the Pine Chapel Community, Calhoun, died Monday, December 22, 2014 after several months of declining health.

He was born in Gilmer County, GA on July 19, 1924, son of the late James and Mary Edna Fouts Foster. John was a retired plumber and electrician, having owned Foster Plumbing and Electrical. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Black Foster; and his son, Randy Foster; brothers, Harlow, Herbert and J.R. Foster; and two sisters, Irene Bramblett and Mary Kate Deal.

John was survived by his daughter, Diane Foster Dillard of St. Augustine, FL; a grandson, Zack Foster of Calhoun; a sister, Mrs. Pete Chapman of Calhoun; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Foster and Jared Foster. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. John Foster will be conducted Saturday, December 27th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev(s) Kenny Rogers and Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Jimmy Chapman, Randy Seabolt, Randy Freeman, Calvin Caldwell, Norman Hollingsworth, Daniel Wilson and Steve Black.

The Foster family will receive friends Friday, December 26th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
