John Marlin Marsingale

Mr. John Marlin Marsingale, age 68 of Ranger, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Bartow County on March 11, 1940, son of the late Obie Lee Marsingale and Dollie Ray Marsingale. Mr. Marsingale was retired from Springs Industries, and was a member of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Bartow County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Lynn Marsingale, and a nephew, Gary Lee Marsingale.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Tony and Jeanna Marsingale of Ranger, and Dennis and Donna Marsingale of Cartersville; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Marsingale of Fairmount; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. John Marlin Marsingale will be conducted Sunday, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. David Mitchell and Rev. Harris Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Olive Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Larry Mulkey, Doug Morris, Terry Godfrey, Ronnie Ray, Jack Lockaby, and W.H. Wright. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday after 5:00pm.
