Mrs. Johnnie Mae King, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. She was born in Gordon County on December 23, 1928, daughter of the late Rayford and Beulah Lewis Greeson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam King.
Mrs. King was a member of the Crane Eater Community Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Kathy King of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Thomas King, Mandy Robertson, and Corey King; and two great-grandchildren, Addison King and Murphy Robertson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Mae King will be conducted Friday, November 12th at 2:00pm from the Crane Eater Community Church, with Pastor Howard Strickland and Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Music will be arranged by Donna Gay. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Thomas King, Corey King, Ricky Coggins, Neal Russell, Donny Robertson, Junior Brackett, and Matt Barton. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 1:00pm.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. King's name to the Crane Eater Community Church Building Fund, 3168 Red Bud Road, Calhoun, GA 30701.
