Johnny Earl Edmondson

Mr. Johnny Earl Edmondson, 82, of Adairsville, GA died at his home on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born in Waleska, GA on July 8, 1932; son of the late Walter Monroe Edmondson and Rosa Jane Nelson Edmondson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Dee Edmondson and his two sisters, Lillian Bailey and Marie Posey.

Mr. Edmondson was a member of the First Christian Church of Adairsville. He was a veteran of the Corporal Army where he was posted in Sendai, Japan. Prior to his illness, he was retired from Gayle and Lord in Shannon, GA.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jean Jackson Edmondson, to whom he was married to for 57 years; his two daughters, Wanda and her husband Ricky Harris and Rosamary Fowler; his two sisters, Lucille Young of Rome and Annie Smith of Ellijay; his four grandchildren, Racey and his wife Julie Harris, Layla and her husband Brian Towers, Jonathon Talley, and Veilvet Fowler; great- grandchildren Madison Harris, Macey Harris, Brianna Towers, Aubrey Towers, Melinda Talley, J.T. Talley, Will Talley, and Abbie Talley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny Earl Edmondson will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Pelfry officiating. Interment will follow at Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Racey Harris, Jeremy Jackson, Johnathon Talley, Brian Towers, Curt Jackson, and Rayburn Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Mitch Colquitt, Willard Furguson, Jimmy Young, Layla Towers, Veilvet Fowler, Justin Evans, and Levi Wright.

The family will receive friends from Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
