Johnny Nick Kalevas

Mr. Johnny Nick Kalevas, age 78 of Plainville, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010. He was born in Attalla, Alabama on December 19, 1931, son of the late Nicholas Kalevas and the late Eddie Sue Scott McEntyre Kalevas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Harkins. He was retired from Klopman Mills.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Jacqueline (Jackie) James Kalevas of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Sylvia Kalevas of Plainville; two daughters, Janice Gail Green and Renee Jones, both of Plainville; a brother-in-law, Johnny James; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Avery and Annette Parker; grandchildren, Lisa Gail Beavers and her husband Phil, Amanda Dean and her husband Jeff, and Wesley Jones; and great-grandchildren, Breanna, Luke, and Joshua Beavers, and Dustin Mahan. Special friends, Michael "Yard Dog" Holmes, Billy Autry, and Sammy Brown, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Nick Kalevas will be conducted Tuesday, September 7th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
