Obituary

Joseph David Morefield, 87, of Calhoun, GA went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was born on July 16, 1933 in Appalachia, Virginia to the late Charles and Mary Ellen Morefield. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Hubbard, Lorene Morefield, Charles Morefield, Luther Morefield, and Isabel Morefield.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Morefield; children, Denny Morefield (Mrs. Judy) of Van Wert, Ohio, Debra Morefield Klausing of Van Wert, Ohio, Jeff Morefield (Mrs. Tara) of Van Wert, Ohio, Joanna Morefield Elrod (Mr. Rocky) of Calhoun, GA; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Kathleen Morefield Blanton, Doris Morefield Shaffer, and Glenn Morefield; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Wed. Nov. 25th at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fain Cemetery. The Morefield family will receive friends on Wed. from 2 PM until 3 PM.
