Joseph Herman Dover, 52, of Calhoun, GA died Monday, October 5, 2020. He was born on February 26, 1968, to Cathy Scrivens and the late Frank Dover. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Joseph Colquitt Dover.
He is survived by his companion, Delores Cissy Dover; children, Brady Dover (Lyndsay Hightower), Jayden Gossett Dover, Tiffany Howard (Bo), and Meagan Morris (Andrew); stepchildren, Krystal Newberry (Lee), Sally Bradshaw, Shana Scott (Chris), Steven Harris (Nancy Warner), and Taylor Ballard; grandchildren, Bradyn and Adeline Dover, Rockland, Dakota, Rhett, and Rockledge Howard, Kambrie Morris, Chance Swafford, Zadin and Gavien Barfield, Brenden Bradshaw, Kristafer Kimble, Barry Newberry, Maya Scott, Ashlyn Grace Harris; brothers, Wayne Dover, Elvis Dover, Christopher Scrivens of Fort Hood, TX, Tyson Dover, and sister; Anita Mead (Mike), grandmother, Vera Ingle; aunts and uncles, Dot Tidwell (Carmen), MaryAnn Kizer (Danny), Johnny Dover, Jimmy Dover (Connie), Shirley Nixon, William Ingle; several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
The family wants to thank the friends and family that donated money to help cover the funeral expenses. Anyone else who wants to donate needs to directly contact Delores Dover at 470-309-7561 to help cover the opening and closing of the grave at Sunset Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 12, 2020, from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Monday, October 12, 2020, at 2:00 from the graveside at Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include, Lee Newberry, Tony Dover, Jimmy Dover, Donald Dover, Todd Mitchell, and Brandon Jacobs.
