Mr. Joseph Patrick James, 70, of the Dews Pond Community, died early Wednesday, March 1, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Henderson, TN, on January 23, 1947, son of the late Jessie James and Icie Dora James. Prior to his retirement, he was a professional truck driver for 50 years, and was employed by Leon Jones Trucking.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Judy Mulkey James of Calhoun; his son, Joseph James; his daughters, Kimberley Kirby and her husband Richard, and Renee Young; sisters, Nell Hutcherson, Corine Terry, and Novelee Massingill, all of Tennessee; a brother, Harold James of Tennessee; his grandchild, Crista Kirby; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jackie and Teresa Mulkey, Theresa and Randy Tucker, Brenda Whaley, Randy Mulkey, Betty and Stevie Mulkey, and Shelia and Danny Young.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Joseph Patrick James will be held Friday, March 3rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, Pastor Richard Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving include Larry Whaley, Brian Mulkey, Randy Mulkey, Andy Mulkey, Jeffery Mulkey, and Danny Mathews.
The family will receive friends Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
