Josh Hammond

Mr. Josh Hammond, age 34 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, September 19, 2009. He was born in Whitfield County on August 24, 1975, son of the late Steffan Durham Hammond and Marissa Bailey Feagin of Calhoun. Josh was employed with Stanton Carpets, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Betty Goble Bailey, Noble Nelson Bailey, Joe Hammond, and Harvey William Walker.

Survivors include his mother, Marissa Bailey Feagin of Calhoun, two sons, Austin Hammond and Trenton Hammond; a daughter, Heaven Hammond, all of Calhoun; a sister, Dr. Angie Sheffield of Italy; grandparents, Maxine Bagley Walker and Ann Hammond, both of Calhoun; and a special aunt, Bettye Rome of Calhoun. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Josh Hammond will be conducted Wednesday, September 23rd at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Tina Clements officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Don Harrison, Blake Dodd, and Randy Mulkey. These gentlemen are requested to assemble at the funeral home Wednesday at 12:15pm.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
