Mrs. Joyce Jendron Taylor Arcement Ferreira, age 86 of Ranger, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Gordon Hospital.
Mrs. Ferreira was born on November 13, 1921 in Morgan City, Louisiana, daughter of the late Sidney Louis Jendron and Lydia Dufrene Jendron. She was a member of Saint Clement's Catholic Church of Calhoun, and Saint Anthony Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Paulette Green and her husband Jimmy of Ranger, and Renae Plaisance and her husband Michael of Gheens, Louisiana; four sons, James Sidney Taylor and his wife Anna of Ranger, Kevin Taylor and his wife Darlene of Mandville, Louisiana, and Jerome Taylor and Joseph Taylor, both of Calhoun; a sister, Betty Dufrene of Gheens, Louisiana; and four brothers, Dally, Fredrick, Herbert and James Breaux, all of Louisiana. Twenty-two grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and nieces and nephews also survive.
A Wake Service will be conducted Thursday at 6:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Deacon Edward C. Stives officiating. Entombment will be held on Saturday, September 20 at the Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport, Louisiana.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Thursday evening, during the hours of 2:00pm and 9:00pm.
