Joyce Marie Dortch

Mrs. Joyce Marie Dortch, age 85 of Suwanee, Georgia and formerly of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Mrs. Dortch was born on January 10, 1923, daughter of the late Bert Bailey and Minnie Robinson Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Russell Dortch. She was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Dortch is survived by her husband, Dr. Verne Dortch; a daughter, Connie Caylor; four sons, Greg Dortch, Gary Dortch, Ron Dortch, and Joe Dortch, and a sister, Mildred Rafey. Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Marie Dortch will be conducted Saturday at 3:00pm from the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Phil White officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Bill Caylor, Greg Dortch, Ron Dortch, Joe Dortch, Gary Dortch and Adam Dortch. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening, during the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
