Mrs. Julianna Nadine Woody, age 36 of Calhoun, died Thursday, March 19th, 2009 in Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Woody was born in Will County, Illinois on November 13th, 1972, daughter of the late James and Marlene Werth Sparks. She was a housewife and a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by a sister, Laurenea Burgland.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Woody of Calhoun; three daughters, Angela Danelle Woody and Nianna Laurenea Rose Sparks of Calhoun, and Jessica Lynn Knight of Rome; one son, Dale Edward Woody Jr. of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Tianna Sparks and Damyion Hammond of Calhoun; four sisters, Marlene Ruby Cohely and her husband Clayton of Shannon, Penny Ferrington of Illinois, Shirley Hill and her husband Anthony of Rome, and Gladys Young and her husband Doyle of Rome; and three brothers, Jerry Bates of Lindale, Christopher Sparks of Armuchee and William Brisco of Rome. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julianna Nadine Woody will be held Sunday, March 22nd at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include Brandon Brisco, Justin Sparks, Zach Brisco, Tim Sparks, Chris Sparks, and Dustin Young. The Woody family will receive friends Saturday evening between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
