Kate Haynes Burton

Mrs. Kate Haynes Burton, age 83 of Oakman, Georgia, died Thursday evening, April 05, 2007 at her residence.

Mrs. Burton was born on August 21, 1923 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Elisha and Laura Parker Haynes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ross C. Burton. During her lifetime, she was employed as a clerk in the retail business and was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. Burton is survived by daughter, Jean Parker and her husband, Cliff of Oakman, Georgia; grandchildren; Jeff Parker and his wife, Tammie; and Gail Young and her husband, Raymond; four great grandchildren; Jonathan Cagle, Jennifer Cagle, Kyle Parker and Kevin Parker; one great grandchild; Jonas Charles; and a special nephew; James Haynes and his wife, Deila. Other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Haynes Burton will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Fairview Church of God with Rev. Richard Harkins and Rev. Johnny Parker officiating. Singing will be arranged by Mrs. Mable Harris and Mrs. Iris Parker. Pallbearers serving will include; Jeff Parker, Raymond Young, Jonathan Cagle, Kyle Parker, Kevin Parker and Bill Farrist. Burial will follow the service in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
