Kathleen Moore Conaway

Mrs. Kathleen Dillard Moore Conaway, age 95 of Plainville, died Thursday March 27, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness.

Kathleen was born in Plainville on October 21, 1918, daughter of the late John Dillard and Mae Bagley Dillard. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Steven Moore; and her second husband, Carl Conaway. One of twelve children, she was also preceded in death by six sisters, Lillian Crump, Ailene Pendley, Eddie Bell Pelfrey, Louise Carden, Lenora Brock and Anna Lee Reese; and four brothers, Gene Dillard, Herman Dillard, Clint Dillard and Sam Dillard.

She was a retired millworker, having been employed with Klopman Mills for many years, and also at Trend Mills and Mt. Alto Mills. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Plainville.

Survivors include a son, Robert Vance Moore and his wife Brenda of Plainville; three grandsons, Steven Vance Moore of Pensacola, FL, Russell Vance Moore of Summerville, GA,
and Darren Vance Moore of Plainville; great-grandchildren, Brittaney Moore, Eric Moore, and Amanda Moore; and a sister, Johnnie Mae Lanham of Rome. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kathleen Dillard Moore Conaway will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2014 from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Russell Moore, Steven Moore, Darren Moore, Phil Beavers, Eric Moore and John Gazaway.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
