Kathy Lynn Brannon

Miss Kathy Lynn Brannon, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at her residence following several years of declining health. She was born in Cartersville, GA on October 28, 1948, daughter of Jessie Higdon Brannon Smith and the late Howell Brannon. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a twin sister, Karen Lea Brannon.

Kathy was a bright, loving, devout, and giving person, and was loved by her family. She was employed by Mortgage Guarantee Insurance Company as Senior Vice-President. When in good health, Kathy attended and participated in the activities of Farmville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Jessie Higdon Brannon Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Deborah Brannon; a sister, Trisha Brannon; a niece, Paula Adams and her husband Chad; and a grand-niece, Halley Claire Adams, all of Calhoun. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

A memorial service for Miss Kathy Lynn Brannon will be held at the Farmville United Methodist Church Saturday, January 28th at 3:00pm with Rev. Guy Kent officiating. Music will be arranged by Rev. Doug Simonds.
