Kathy Patterson Derosier

Mrs. Kathy Patterson Derosier, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Gordon Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born in Gordon County on May 5, 1952, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Patterson and the late Annie Mae Kirby Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Ray in November 2012, and infant David Ray; three brothers, Raymond Patterson, Dennis Patterson, and William Patterson; a sister, Dorothy Logan; and former husband, Ralph Pierce.

She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Amy Ray of Calhoun; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Scott Patterson of Dalton, and Susan and Haven Baine of Ducktown, Tennessee; and a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Dewey Sills of Ranger. Grandchildren surviving are Brad and Alicia Ray, Christina and Amber Hensley, Fred Hensley, Josh and Cameron Floyd, and Justin and Rebecca Baine; and great-grandchildren, Tatum Ray, Elyanna Baine, Jayden Hensley, Mason Price and Lacie Hensley. Special friend Carol and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kathy Patterson Derosier will be held Friday, February 21st at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lane Tow officiating. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and include Brad Ray, Fred Hensley, Josh Floyd, Justin Baine, Cameron Floyd, and Robert Parker.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
