Kenneth 'Buck' Wheat

Kenneth "Buck" Wheat, 65 of Sugar Valley, died Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born in Calhoun on April 27, 1952, son of the late Frank E. Wheat and Mary Swinford Wheat. He was preceded in death by a special friend that was like his brother, Kenneth "Pork Chop" Hackney, who died January 3, 2018.
Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Sugar Valley. He was a truck driver for R.W.T prior to his retirement. He was an avid dirt track and drag racing fan.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Jessica Wheat of Ranger; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Chris Green of Calhoun; grandchildren, Kelly and Jake Green; a brother Steve Wheat of Sugar Valley; a sister, Jane Whittle of Sugar Valley; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Davis and Rev. Mitch Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
