Kenneth Ray Hampton

Mr. Kenneth Ray Hampton, age 47 of Resaca, GA passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center following three years of declining health.

He was born on October 16, 1964 in Dalton, GA, son of Jimmy and Becky Rhodes.

During his lifetime he owned and operated Hampton Mechanical.

Mr. Hampton is survived by a daughter, SaSha Hampton of Ringgold; a son, Drew Hampton of Dalton; parents, Jimmy and Becky Rhodes; two sisters, Rhonda Ray of Resaca, and Shelva Tavares of Dalton; and a brother, Chris Rhodes and his wife Michelle of Dalton. Other survivors are grandchildren, Hayden Hampton and Matthew Cavender; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Cavender; nieces, Michaela Baldwin, Leslie Henderson and Rebecca Henderson; nephews, Cage and Cayden Ray; and stepchildren, Kaitlin and Justin Chastain.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Ray Hampton will be conducted Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with David Peeler officiating. Honorary pallbearers will include Gary Moore, Timmy Lyles, Jr. Brian Lyles, Donald O'Neal, Chad Ray, Tommy Young, Jaime Hayes, Terry Baldwin, Dale Smith, Dustin Smith, Stacey James and Michael Willex. Following the funeral service, Mr. Hampton's body will be cremated. The family requests that flowers be ommitted and contributions be made to help cover final expenses.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
