Kenneth Williams

Mr. James Kenneth Williams, age 72 of Calhoun, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Gordon Health Care following an extended illness. He was born on January 4, 1943, son of the late J.B. and Gertrude Dilbeck Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Emory and Ioma Ruddell Dilbeck, and Frund and Belle Bunch Williams.

Mr. Williams was a member of Salem Baptist Church; a graduate of Calhoun High School, class of 1961; and a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Daley Williams, to whom he was married in 1999; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jamie Williams; stepson, Andrew Preece; step-daughter, Ryann Preece; grandson, Dawson Williams; and granddaughter, Emma Williams, all of Calhoun; step-grandson, Jake Preece of Snellville; and aunts, Juanita and Charlie Cox, Gerri and Ray Hammond, Shirley and Larry Greeson, Lucy Dilbeck, and Betty Dilbeck.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Williams will be held Wednesday, July 29th at 2:00 PM from New Zion Baptist Church, with Dr. William Roberts officiating. Music will be arranged by Travis Stephens. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Garrett King, Aaron King, Warren King, Matt Lessis,Tony Miller and Bobby Miller.

The Williams family will receive friends at New Zion Baptist Church Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
