Kerry Scott Whitney

Mr. Kerry Scott Whitney, age 52 of Calhoun, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home following several years of declining health. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 9, 1961, son of Terry Whitney and Diane Repka.

Prior to his illness, Kerry had been employed with Shaw Industries. He was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Debbie Wilson Whitney; two daughters, April Wilson and Brittany Whitney, both of Calhoun; two brothers, Terry Whitney and his wife Regina of Adairsville, and Norman Anderson of Minnesota; father, Terry Whitney; mother, Diane Repka; a grandchild, Brayedon Leigh Scott Wilson; nephew, Terry Whitney III; and a niece, Tiffany Hogue and her husband Dwayne.
Other survivors include Kerry's supervisor at Shaw Industries, Ron Boise; and special friend, Brian Eickmier.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Amedisys Hospice of Dalton for their compassion and care during Kerry's illness.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kerry Scott Whitney will be held Tuesday, December 9th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

The Whitney family will receive friends Monday, December 8th at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
