Mrs. Kimberly Jolene Harper, age 36 of Calhoun, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on December 4, 1974, daughter of Nellie Daniel Parker and the late Wayne Burdette.
Kimberly graduated from Eagle Landing High School in Stockbridge, and attended medical school. She was a member of Jonesboro Church of the Nazarene in Lovejoy.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Danny Harper; a son, Blake Harper of Calhoun; a daughter, Amber Morris of Calhoun; her mother and step-father, Nellie Parker and Elbert Parker of Calhoun; a step-daughter, Jordan Harper of Locust Grove; a sister, Chrissie Northrop of Stockbridge; a step-brother, Curt Redding of Savannah; and "Mom", Diane Burdette of Stockbridge. Aunts, uncles, and nieces also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kimberly Jolene Harper will be conducted Tuesday, February 15th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Bearden and Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jimmy Anderson, Ernie Keener, Paul Coleman, Jesse Fisher, Rob Turner, and Patrick Northrop. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Wright and James Carlton.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
