King Daniel Brown

March 28, 1940 — April 8, 2010

Mr. King Daniel Brown, age 70 of Gordon County, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Murray County on March 28, 1940, son of the late Sam and Flora Key Brown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Sam Brown.

Mr. Brown had retired from Mohawk Industries, and was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Oma G. Brown; two sons, Julian Brown of Adairsville, and Robert Brown and his wife Chu of Snellville; six brothers, Bill Brown of Gladewater, Texas, Hoyt Brown and his wife Virginia of Chatsworth, Frank Brown and his wife O'Dale of Calhoun, Leonard Brown and his wife Sheila of Dalton, Jim Brown and his wife Ellen of Scottsboro, Alabama, and Fred Brown of Calhoun; two sisters, Sarah Burnley and her husband Roger, and Dorothy Walraven and her husband Otto, both of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Joshua King Brown and Robin Lenore Brown. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. King Daniel Brown will be conducted Saturday, April 10th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Timms and Rev. John Podine officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Rev. Ken Thomason officiating. Active pallbearers will include Dale Hudgins, Marty Brown, Russell Brown, Ben Brown, Matthew Brown, and Brian Anderson.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
