Mr. Mitchell Lamar Brown, 62 of Calhoun, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home following several months of declining heath. He was born in Floyd County, GA on June 13, 1953, son of Joanne Lewis Langley and the late Alvin Brown.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Angie Brown of Adairsville; his daughter, Michelle Brown of Athens; his sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Brown, and Roxanne and Doug Johnston, all of Calhoun; his mother and step-father, Joanne and Raymond Langley of Sugar Valley; and grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Anna Brown, Abigail Brown, and Nathaniel Brown. Other survivors include his aunts, Sue Mashburn and her husband Marvin, and Mildred Lewis; nieces and nephews, Alex Ray and Jason Ray, and Kimberly Johnston; and a host of cousins.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Mitchell Lamar Brown will be held Sunday, June 28th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Daniel Brown and Rev. Pat Potts officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Mike Wilbanks, Jason Ray, Dennis Nesbitt, Kenneth Peeler, Randy Silvers, and Ricky Lewis.
The Brown family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
