Mr. Lamar Henry Graham, age 73 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on October 6, 1940, son of Janie Hall King and the late Henry Mack Graham. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, David Graham in 1970; and grandparents, Sam and Mamie Hall, and Ken and Lethia Graham.
Mr. Graham had retired from Prater Ford in 1995 after 32 years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Lydia Graham of Calhoun; his mother, Janie Hall King of Rome; a brother, Larry Graham and the late Karen Graham of Rome; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jerry Quinn of Resaca; the mother of his children, Janice Graham; a niece, Michelle Stoner and her children, Kayla, Brittany, and Logan; nephews, Kelly and Pam Quinn and their children, Austin and Monica, Lamar and Angel Graham, Rodney and Nancy Mathis, and Roger and Tommye Mathis; a special aunt and uncle, Lee and Ann Mathis; and Cynthia Jones.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Lamar Henry Graham will be held Monday, February 10th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Jamey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jerry Quinn, Kelly Quinn, Rodney Mathis, Roger Mathis, Zane Jones, and Jamie Graham. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Carney, Jason Randolph, Roger Smith, and Kurt Sutherland.
The Graham family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday, February 9th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
