Landon Brian Walraven

Mr. Landon Brian Walraven, 62, of Calhoun died at his home on Friday, October 17, 2014.

Brian was born in Gordon County on September 19, 2014; he was the son of the late Tom and Angie Hayes Walraven. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.T. Walraven, Carl Walraven, Fred Walraven, Herschel Walraven, and Tommy Walraven; his sisters, Willie Mae Hooker, and Betty Childers. For twenty-two years, Brian was a department manager with Mohawk Industries at their Union Grove Road facility. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Brian is survived by his wife, Nancy Weaver Walraven, of the residence; his step-son, Chuck and his wife Debbie Gordon, of Tampa, Florida; step-grandchildren Crystal and Jack; two great-grandchildren; his brothers, Willard Walraven, of Calhoun, and Larry Walraven, of Resaca; sisters, Deborah Davis, of Dalton, Beulah Pack, of Resaca, Gladys Gossage, of Calhoun, and Sue Stone, of Resaca; two sisters-in-law, Donna Ifft, of Ohio, and Ella Marie Cummins, of Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Adair officiating. Music will be arranged by Dianne Hicks. Brian was cremated and burial will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial Baptist Church.
