Obituary

LaNelle Sonier Bailey, 85, of Calhoun, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Woburn, MA on August 3, 1933, daughter of the late Allen Edward and Rosetta Murray Sonier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Eugene Bailey on April 1, 2016; her brother, Henry Allen Sonier of Souix City, Iowa; and her ex-husband, James C. Bailey.
Survivors include her son, James C. Bailey III of Liberty, SC; her daughters, Sheryl Bailey Sellars Speeg of LaGrange, GA, and Sandra Bailey Hill of Calhoun, GA; her brother, Allen Edward Sonier of Gordon, GA; her sister, Winnie Sonier Frix of Rome, GA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 21st at 2:00 PM from Restlawn Memorial Gardens in LaGrange, GA.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
