Mr. Larry Edward Parker, 76 of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Dalton passed peacefully November 30, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Mr. Parker was born in Calhoun, Georgia on August 19, 1948, the son of the late Ford Parker and Ila Mae Powell Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristin Parker who died in 2000; the mother of his daughter, Donna Pass Parker; his brother, Darrell Parker; and by his brother-in-law, Jerry Pass.

Larry was loved by everyone who knew him. Prior to retirement he was employed by Wheelers Building Supply in Dalton, Georgia as store manager and outside sales. His favorite place to eat and visit was the Oakwood Café in Dalton. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War and was proud of his service.

Survivors include his sister, Anita Parker Erwin, and her husband, Nevin; nieces, Pam Erwin Sills, Julie Pass Logan and Laura Erwin Heacox (Shawn); sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Avis Pass Lee and her husband, Calvin, Retha Pass Kidd, and Ann Mashburn and her husband Gerald.

The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamie Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Butch Richards, Jimmy Robinson, Will Hogan, Connor Hogan, Jerome Hollis, and Mitchell Hollis. Courtney Blackmon, his hospice nurse, along with his caregivers at Brookside Assisted Living in Cartersville are honorary pallbearers.

On Thursday, December 5th, prior to the funeral service, the family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
