Mr. Larry Joe Atkins, 65, of Sugar Valley died at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2014.
Larry was born in Lafayette, Georgia on October 24, 1949; he was the son of the late Daymon A. Atkins and Lillie Atkins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Atkins; his brothers, Allan Atkins, and Gary Atkins; his brother-in-law, William Quinn.
Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa Flowers Atkins, of Sugar Valley; sons, Daymon Atkins and his wife, Jane, Eric Atkins and his wife, Sally, Bobby Wright and his wife, Linda, Keith Atkins, and Allen Hamilton; his daughters, April Browning and her husband, Greg, Judy Shepard, Christy Hamilton, Karen Hamilton, and Kimberly Hamilton; his grandchildren, Cody Atkins, Bailey Atkins, Amber Fisher, Ira Perky, Brody Perky, Casey Wright, Brandie Stern, Tiffany Dollar, Ceanna Browning, Brianna Kenner, Devilyn Shepard, Erika Shepard, Xander Shepard, Dakota Massingill, Cody Brown, Taylor Dotson, Aydon Dotson, Kacie Hamilton, Emily Hamilton, Madison Stacey, Tiffany Dotson, Skyler Chamlee, Haley Welch, and Destiny Grey; his brother, Lamar Stephenson and his wife, Sharon; sisters, Marleen Quinn, and Pam Stephenson; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. James Gravitt officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Villanow. Pallbearers serving are Will Bryant, Eric Chamlee, Dewayne Fisher, Ira Perky, Keith Atkins, and Christopher Massingill. The Atkins family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
