Larry Ledford, 59, of the Talking Rock Community died on Thursday, September 21, 2017 after a sudden heart attack. Larry was born in Cobb County on April 16, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Ledford; he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Loretta Ledford, David Bennett, Doc Ledford, Helen Ledford, Nancy Ledford, and Robin Ledford. Larry was a graduate of Fairmount High School; he was a star basketball player there. He worked for twenty-six years at RUS/CINTAS, then founded his own business, L & L Construction. Larry loved to hunt, fish, and camp; he enjoyed sports very much.
Larry is survived by his mother, Toney Schrivner; his fiance, Cathy Williams; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee Ledford, Delmar and Margaret Ledford, Ronnie and Dorothy Ledford, Jessie and Linda Bennett, and Bennie Bennett; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Mike Cook, Brenda and Johnny Skinner, Jackie Ledford, Judy Kirby, Dean Masters, Faye and Byron Wood, and Eunavee Ledford; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Larrys family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Crane Eater Church. A private family graveside will be held later at Old Sugar Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
