Larry T. Goss

Mr. Larry T. Goss, age 65 of Calhoun, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.

Mr. Goss was born on October 1, 1946 in Gordon County, son of the late Farrell and Maggie Hughes Goss. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Taylor Goss of the home; a son, Seth Dalton Goss of Birmingham, AL; a step-daughter, Jenny Whitfield and her husband Russell; a step-son, Thomas Lambert and his wife Stacy; grandchildren, Austin Whitfield, Bailey Whitfield, Waytt Dalton, Logan Dalton, Addyson Dalton, Camdon Dalton and Mathew Mitchell; nephews, Marty Goss and Ryan Goss and a niece, Lori Crider. Great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry T. Goss will be conducted Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Smith and Rev. Chad Shook officiating. Music will be arranged by Susan Goss, Tim Reed and Martha Smith. Active pallbearers selected to serve are John Turner, Lamar Turner, Thomas Lambert, Russell Whitfield, Ryan Goss, Eddie Crider and Marty Goss. Honorary pallbearers are, Jerry Turner, Austin Whitfield, Bailey Whitfield, Greg Connell, Earl Abernathy and Will Hughes. Active and honorary pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:00am. Interment will follow the service at the Erwin Hill Church of God Cemetery.

The Goss family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
