Larry Turner

Mr. Larry Howard Turner, age 64 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at his home. He was born in Gordon County on April 29, 1950, son of the late Carl Alonza Turner and the late Ruby Jo Pack Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aubrey Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carrie Faye Welchel Turner; four sons, Scott Turner and his wife Christy, Billy Turner, Jimmy Turner and his wife Dana, and Jason Turner and his wife Tiffany, all of Calhoun; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tommy Walden of Dalton; brothers, Donald Turner and Sammy Turner, both of Calhoun; and sisters, Joann Bates of Dalton, and Sonia Cozart and her husband Tony of Calhoun. Fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Howard Turner will be held Friday, January 2nd at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Pack officiating. Music will be arranged by Chris Pack. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Howard Pack, David Pack, Lamar Turner, John Evans, Kody Parker, and Jeffery Cameron.

The Turner family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 31st from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Thursday, January 1st from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
