Laura Elease Hasty

Laura Elease Hasty, 63, of the Ranger Community passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 14, 2024, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 10, 1960, the daughter of David Arthur Peterson and Carol June Crosby Peterson. She attended Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, Florida, and before retirement was employed by AdventHealth Gordon. Laura was a member of the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Wayne Hasty to whom she was married 34 years; daughter and son-in-law, Annalyse and Justin Howerton; sons, Shandy Martin, Robert “Bo” Martin, and Austin Hasty and his wife Brooke; grandchildren, Roland Howerton, Jack Hasty, and Brynleigh Hasty; parents, David Arthur Peterson and Carol June Crosby Peterson; sister, Julienne Lohman; brother, Scott Peterson along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service to celebrate the life of Laura Elease Hasty will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Andres Palacios officiating. Music will be arranged by the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church.
