Mrs. Laurie Anne Couch Bates, age 32 of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the University Of Kentucky Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born in Villa Rica, Georgia on March 3, 1978, daughter of James A. Couch and the late Jane Bryan Jernigan.
Laurie was a student and housewife.
Survivors include her husband, James Russell Bates; her father, James A. Couch; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Cara Vick of Woodstock, and James and Kim Couch, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Lisa Ann Couch Sollicito, and Beverly Bates and her husband Mark Johnson; her father-in-law, James Ralph Bates and his wife Pauline; mother-in-law, Marcia Gail Bates; and nieces, Marisa Couch, Ashley Couch, Joshua Vick, Emma Vick, Elizabeth Woodard, Emily Woodard, Josiah, Calvin, Grace, Bonnie, Lydia Johnson. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Laurie Anne Bates will be conducted Sunday, June 27th at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. James Shope officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will include Darron Henson, Jason Barton, Bobby Purser, Scott Byars, Scotty Whittle, Timothy Hufstetler, Garyn Simms, and Shawn Evans. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 2:15pm.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.
