Lawrence Calvin Hale

Mr. Lawrence Calvin Hale, age 79 of Fairmount, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center. He was born in Bartow County on August 6, 1935, son of the late Newt and Ollie Vaughn Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin Hale and Milton Hale.

Mr. Hale was retired as a machine operator with Mannington Mills.

He leaves behind his wife, Flora Mae Leonard Hale; a daughter, Elaine Chadwick; sisters, Ellen Leonard of Calhoun, and Mildred Hale of Fairmount; grandchildren, Christina Williams and Haley Chadwick; and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a nephew, Ricky Leonard of Calhoun; and nieces, Debbie Grizzle of Calhoun, Vickie Roberts of Chatsworth, and Nancy Garner of Jonesboro.

Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Calvin Hale will be held Tuesday, October 14th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Donnie Summey officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Bartow County. Active pallbearers are Avery Chadwick, Mark Williams, Eric Morgan, Terry Farmer, Wylie Leonard, and Wayne Leonard.

The Hale family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
