Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) Edward Downey Sr., 84, of Calhoun, GA passed away in his home on Friday, June 26, 2020. Larry was born in Red Wing, MN on October 8, 1935. He was the son of the late James and Opal Downey and a brother to Joanne and Jim, who preceded him in death.
Larry is survived by his siblings, Tim, Tom, and Pat; 2 sons and daughter: Larry Downey Jr. and wife Arcely; Michael James Downey and Tamara Jean Alonso; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Larry was a proud veteran that served in the United States Army. He was also a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers. He was beloved by all his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
The family plans to announce services at a later time.
