Lee David Holmes

Mr. Lee David Holmes, age 60, of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Floyd Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Gordon County October 23, 1946, son of the late David Lee Holmes and Sybil Williams Holmes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Downey David and Alma Seabolt Holmes, and Leonard (Smokey) and Lola Bunch Williams, and a great nephew, Jamie Long.

He is survived by a son and his wife; Daniel and Michelle Holmes of Chicago, Illinois; one sister and brother-in-law; Cheryl and Jim Long; two nieces and their husbands; Davina and Toby Pass and Tara and Michael Zapp. Two great nieces; Camryn and Cortney Pass, and one great nephew, J.D. Zapp; a special aunt, Dorothy Holmes, other aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00pm on Monday, March 12, 2007, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
