Leon Farrell

Mr. Leon Farrell, 72 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on November 29, 1942, son of the late Edward and Rosetta Ray Farrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Farrell and Eugene Farrell; sisters, Betty Farrell and Ginger Farrell; and a brother-in-law, W.F. Chastain.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Louise Miles Farrell; his sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Tammy Farrell of Calhoun, Sean and Wendy Adcock of Calhoun, Dennis and Joyce Bright of Tennessee, Kenny and Deborah Bright of Calhoun, and Johnny Farrell of Atlanta; his daughter, Robin Bright and Dallas Marshall; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Irene Farrell of Calhoun; a sister, Cali Ruth Chastain of Calhoun; and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Farrell and Nina Farrell. Grandchildren surviving are Tommy Bright, Christy Bright Brooks, Daniel Bright, Carrie Bright, Mandy Blaylock, Kimberly Steele, Stormi Marshall, Kenny Bright, Caitlin Adcock, Michael Adcock, Matthew Adcock, Caleb Adcock, Bobby Farrell, Kayla Farrell, and Joseph Farrell; and great-grandchildren, Lilly, Anna, Josie, Brandon, Taylor, Miles, Alyvia, Azick, Baylin, Delana, Dylan, Michael, Deana, Allison, Leo, Makenzlee, and Kolton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Leon Farrell will be held Friday, May 15th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Tommy Bright, Bobby Farrell, Matthew Adcock, Michael Adcock, Kenny Bright, and Dallas Marshall.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
