Leonia Hall

Mrs. Leonia Hall, age 86 of Resaca, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on August 2, 1923 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Lemuel Clark and Maude Stanley Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon (Bunk) Hall; by sisters, Mandy Clark and Romanie Clark; and by brothers, Ira Clark, Marvin Clark and Arvil Clark. During her lifetime she was employed by Crown Craft Mills, and was a member of the Resaca Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Hall and his wife Mona of Calhoun, and Benny Hall of Resaca; as well as Sheryl Bright of Resaca and Martha Hall of Dalton. Two grandchildren, Lisa Showalter and Laura Hall; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Showalter and Sarah Showalter; and two nieces, Maybelle Knight and Maudie Parrott also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Leonia Hall will be conducted Monday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Timms and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday evening during the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
