Obituary

Leroy William Johnson, 69, of Calhoun died at his home on Monday, October 29, 2018, following several months of declining health. Leroy was born in Cartersville on April 4, 1949; he was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth Johnson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Johnson; his sisters, Nila Baldwin and Christine Albright. Leroy worked in the pulpwood industry for many years.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Margie Johnson; his sons Scotty Johnson (Judy Harrell), Dewayne Johnson, and Rodney Eugene Johnson; his sister, Ann Steedley; his grandchildren, William Pierce and Jimmy Harrell; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Johnson family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Frank Bramlett will officiate.
